November 17 at 6 p.m.  | Tell & Act Presents Afghan Stories—Here and Abroad

In August 2021, the U.S. government withdrew all military operations in Afghanistan, ending the longest war in American history. While many Americans supported bringing the troops home, the withdrawal has been widely criticized. As chaotic scenes from the Kabul airport were broadcast worldwide, vulnerable Afghans pleaded for protection. Months later, millions of Afghans continue to be at risk in their country, while those who fled rebuild their lives in the U.S. and elsewhere. Learn how to help by listening to testimonies from Afghans, as well as others involved in the humanitarian response efforts.
